Kumusta Po Kayo lahat,
Another week and she's still alive. My companion has had
something like 2 hours of sleep on average every night for
the past 15 days. I am amazed she is alive. Speaking of
still alive as I mentioned about the millions who die here
in Camiling last week let me just say that this week I final
set my record and reached my maybe slightly morbid goal
of speaking at 10 funerals and counting in my time here
in Camiling this was another In- active member who we'd
actually been trying to re activate about 3 weeks ago but
who told us face to face that when she was ready to come
back to the church she would come back to the church.
Little did she know that the church would be holding her
funeral service just 3 weeks later. I would like to send
out a thanks to Britania singles ward in London for my
Christmas package unexpectedly received this week.
I LOVE YOU all and miss you too! On Saturday we had
a very successful recent convert fireside, which was the
brain child of a mad rush of inspiration written down after
a planing session which I conducted by myself my companion
being sick in bed. It was such a great feeling to received
just the inspiration but to see how well the new converts
bonded with the members and how great the activity came
together was just icing on top of the cake. This week I
also maybe broke an un thought of record or goal for myself
and wore a sweater with long sleeves outside all day to
church and in our work. IT is COLD this week COLD for
philippino standards which means it is maybe 79
with clouds and a breeze. But for me I'm just thankful
its cold enough to sleep with just 1 electric fan our
power bill was super high last month because of our
Christmas lights, but they were worth it. IN
closing for the blog post I'd like to share a quote
I re- read from my MTC notes which I read over again this
week to get that fresh MTC mind set back in my so close to
going home head! the quote says "Humble servants of God
follow because they know it is what the lord wants and
they also know that his will is more important than their
own." Its a quote I love and one I'm going to try to keep
living for the rest of these 8 weeks I've got here in the
field!
I love you all
Ingat sa Lahat EH!
